Tower Location

I'm wondering where the best place is to place my new tower

to reduce the amount of dust entering the bottom filters, ie: on floor (vinyl), on piece of carpet, or on desk type shelf.

I know I will have to clean out filters but want to reduce the times I have to do this as much as possible.

Anyone got a C70 or advice on location?

Always had mine on top of the desk but would say carpet would be the worst choice of the 3 m8.

In a dusty room, a carpet can actually be better than a desk or vinyl etc floor as the airflow into the bottom of the case can suck the dust along the flat surface and into the filter.

If you vacuum the carpet before putting the computer down, vacuum around it regularly and underneath when you clean the filters, you won't have many problems - the carpet can actually help trap dust which would otherwise be repeatedly swept up from the floor by people walking around and re-circulated until it eventually ends up in your fan filters anyway.

I only clean my filters every 3-6 months, and I could leave it longer if I wanted to.

Pretty much this. Unless you live in a cave then it isn't going to be a major problem
