Tower on floor or desk?

Month since last reply but I was just thinking about this after seeing a picture of stulid's setup.

Now, I have my tower on the floor, which is wood (tower has raised rubber feet) so it's quite cool most of the time versus a carpet. Although I'm now tempted to place it on my desk to the right, just because I think it would look better.

My only concern is less ventilation on the desk because if I placed it on the right, it'd be about 3-4 inches away from an outside wall, which admittedly is cold to the touch, while sitting under the table it get's plenty since it's not enclosed.

I'm planning on fitting two more exhaust fans on the top of the case anyway so it may be better on the desk as the air will have more room to escape versus bouncing off the underneath of the table which is about 6" from the top of the tower.

I suppose another benefit is less dust intake like people have said. You can really see the dust on these wood floors so I can just imagine what this thing sucks in, even with the filters. While my desk is always dust free. I'll probably move the sucker up onto the desk tomorrow to see how I like it, too tired now lol

Corsair 800d on the floor under the desk.

It's on the floor because its to big for the desk and i don't want to sit there looking at the insides :)

And to update - I just moved my components from a 11 month old build into a new case and the dust inside the frame was unbelievable! Like I said previously, it was on top of a wooden floor in an upstairs bedroom. It even got past all the dust filters, I couldn't believe it.

Anyway, the new case is staying on top of my desk, least it may stay more dust free that way!

Mine is on a LACK side table next to my desk.

My server is IN a lack table

My main pc is about 5inch above the carpet, hangs down from the desk
