Hi,

Im using a "Sapphire ATI Radeon X1900 XT-X TOXIC" in my system currently and was wondering if anyone could link me or point me in the right direction to get an "AIR" cooler that will fit this card. Water isnt for me makes me paranoid dont know how or if I need to top it up with anything.

Thanks!

The pump is so loud "slush slush SHHHHHHHH" once every 2 minutes ****s me off :D. The fans are atleast a constant noise

Maybe its faulty.

Maybe you could sell it, and get an air cooled one - didn't you pay a premium for the watercooling on it anyway?

what are your idle and load temps, better change your sig you are only allowed a few lines max read the forum FAQ and rules

under load temps are max 68c and given a guess idel there about 38-42c

Could sell it but would rather stick a fan on it. Cant be bothered with the trouble ebay produces.

I'll check temps when I get home. Think there normal tho.

You might be better keeping your water cooled gfx, and buying some quieter fans and some case sound insulating padding- your card is as hot fully loaded, as most 1900xt owners core's are idle!

Checked the temps out just now there spot on. Just wish there were some sort of instructions with it. Getting a bit of condesation in there. I checked out the card and thereslike a bottle top on it that can screw off, i think.

If I was to top it off do I use tap water or that anti-freeze stuff?

If you're talking about topping it up then DON:T USE TAP WATER (sorry for the shouting). It contains impurities that will grow into a nice green sludge over time and ruin the cooler.
Get yourself to Halfords or any garage that sells deionised water and use that instead :)

If it is in need of topping up then it should hopefully sort out your sloshing noise as water cooling shouldn't slosh unless air is going round the system with the water.

Or you could do what the manufacturers of Deionised water do,......Boil water a kettle or a pan) and collect the steam!!!

The cooled steam (other wise known as water :p ) is then deionised water....trust me ;)

Failing all that if you couldn't be bothered,... you could just buy a bottle

I'll have a look at it tonight, proper look take it out etc etc see whats going on with it. Thanks for the tips dont want slime in there :)

And if you fancy selling the water cooler I'll be very happy to buy it

Im pritty sure they sell them on a certain auction site for around £20 havnt checked for awhile though so don't quote me on that.
