Hello,

So I have the TP-Link (EAP225 V3)

Device Name: EAP225-D8-07-B6-2A-71-E6
Model Name: EAP225
Firmware Version: 2.20.1 Build 20200630 Rel. 41064(4555)

Can someone just let me know if this is the latest firmware for this device? I have looked on the website, but I can't seem too work out if this is the latest one.

Thank you.

This firmware fully adapts the Omada SDN platform but only compatible with Omada Controller v4.1.5 or above.

If you are using an old Omada controller and plan to upgrade this firmware for EAP, you must upgrade the Omada Controller as well: Upgrade Guide

New Feature/Enhancement:

1. Add AI Roaming function.

2. Add Daylight Saving Time.

3. Add Dynamic VLAN function.

4. Set the default SSID encryption mode as AES.

Bug Fixed:

1. Fixed the bug that we can set invalid VLAN ID in Management VLAN settings.

2. Fixed the bug that the RF Scan may show the current 2.4G bandwidth is 40MHz, though the actual bandwidth is 20MHz.

3. Fixed the bug that the RF Scan may not show the channel information of the specific SSID (2.4G radio only).

4. Fixed the bug that the wireless clients which install the Omada APP may disconnect from the 5G radio of EAP if we change the 2.4G channel or Tx power of this EAP in the Omada APP.

5. Fixed the bug that the EAP may reboot abnormally during firmware upgrading and cause the device to brick.

6. Fixed the bug that the Ubuntu Mate PC may not be able to connect to the 2.4G SSID of EAP.

7. Fixed the bug that the Chromebook may not be able to connect to the 2.4G SSID of EAP.

Notes

1. For EAP225 v3 only.

2. This version of firmware is applied to the Omada APP of version 2.1.x or above.

Since I did the firmware update, the download speed on 2.4GHz has gone really bad. I am only getting about 1.30mb.

The settings are the same has before, so I really don't understand why. The 5Ghz download speed seems too be normal.

5GHz (76.82mb)
2.4GHz (0.10mb)

I am attempting too post speed test results, but I keep getting (A socket error occurred during the upload test. A firewall could be blocking the connection or the server might be having some issues. Please try again later.)

Any advice please?

Posted a new thread seeing has it's a new issue. Thank you.
