I have the W8950nd for the price its a great little router, but I have installed 2 outdoor cameras, and want to view them over the internet from work and I am having trouble portforwarding the router. I need an idiots guide, 70 year old pensioner, help needed.

right i have a w8901g but i think the setup should be the same. To be honest tp links have been by far thje worst routers i had to use over the years but well for the price...

got to advanced setup, NAT, virtual server.

choose rule 1 and fill in the details:
leave application blanc.
protocol, choose tcp or udp (i normally use all)
start/end port are the ports you want to forward
local ip is the ip of the camera.

The problem here is that it allows 1 port to be forwarded at 1 time so if you need the same port for 2 ips you have to choose which camera you want to use.

for istance camera 1 is with ip 192.168.1.5 and you camera 2 is with ip 192.168.1.6 and you want port 90 for both you can only forward the port to 1 ip.

you'll need to use a bouncer on one pc to redirect all traffic incoming on a port to another one but that is a bit longer to explain.

hope this helps
