Has anyone tried this device yet?
I am tempted to give it a try at roughly £75 for an integrated VDSL modem and router. Surely it can't be any worse over the DSL-AC68U?

tp link is just a notch above ISP routers, they're not that great. Although not as advanced as the W9980B, I have a W8960N and the range is very poor.

I tried everything, upgraded antannaes, tried every channel with every signal strength selection. But could not get wifi access to every room on a 3 floor house [ground included].

I had to run a patch45 lead from the openreach modem to the 1st floor (middle floor) to the W8960N so it was in the middle of the hose so top floor could get reception.

Meanwhile on my devices my nextdoor neighbours router gets stronger coverage, even a mifi device has a stronger signal than the W8960N.

Ah well, That on can get knocked off the lis the. Thanks for the information. I guess it is cheap for a reason!

They are updating the firmware on these units and improving the VDSL side of things. We should have new stock back in soon with all these updates. I am trying to get a sample for testing to see if they have improved or not.

Hi, if your with sky fibre it must support in ATM and PPP Protocols> MAC encapsulated routing (RFC 1483 MER) if not it will not work.

The Billion 8800nl does.

Hi. Thanks for the reply. I'm with Zen so shouldn't have that issue. I'm just really looking for a single box item that syncs as good as a BT modem and has good wireless coverage. At present I think I'll hold on and use the BT modem and Asus router.
