TP link TL-WR1043N wireless problem

hey guys, thought i may be able to get some insight on a problem i have. I have a tp TL-WR1043N and has been running fine for a few months now, but all of a sudden the wireless is running slower than dialupon my laptop. my pc is hardwired and runs 10mb sec no problem there, its really strange any help would be really appriciated cheers. :confused:

What speed is the wireless connecting at?

Sounds like your wifi channel is being saturated, change it on the router until you find one that operates near the speed you had.

FYI i have the same router i bought some tp-link 5db- antenna (just to give better range) and its a great router. I am also running WRT Gargoyle on it which is stable as hell. I found the original latest FW would loose the web back end on heavy wifi use.

But yea change the wifi channel

install http://www.metageek.net/get_inssider_today/

click the 2.4GHz Channels tab in the middle and then click the play icon in the top right. Will give a nice image of what channels are in use nearby and their strength.

Thanks for all the input lads, sorted now changed the wifi channel
