Found any good deal on this modem? Been looking for one... The rainforest is pretty obvious place to get it, but it's a little expensive still..

Partially related, something I only realised recently is that this router only supports 16 port forwarding items to be defined by the user. Pretty disappointing for a pretty high-end router.

That store had a flash sale of £99 just before Christmas. TP-Link themselves also offered a free 802.11ac USB WiFi adapter for anyone who bought it around that time. Not sure what I'll use mine for but useful for some I guess.

Great modem router, I don't bother with port forwarding.

As a gaming modem/router I find it excellent, mine I use on wifi all the time with no issues, very good range as well.

Btw mine is hooked up with Asus PCE-AC68 card(Broadcom chipset), I've also tried Ralink/Mediatek based chipset USB N and AC dongles as well with no problems on both 2.4 and 5Ghz bands.

I just bought it from the raisforest for 125 so consider it decent.

but i need it now bsically. worth while keeping you eye out for it.

it is a solid router/modem. I am not going to change it for years i think. unless something amazing comes along that can get wired speed in air

Mine is linked through a Netgear A6210 usb AC1200 dongle. I am very happy with the speed. at close range, i get 400+mbps. I am a couple of rooms away and get sustained 250mbps wifi transfer with a couple of solid walls in the way.

my old netgear D6300 does about 100-150mbps in the same room depending on if there are other 5Ghz devices in near proximity so it is a great speed boost.

I actually updated to the latest firmware and had to manually configure the VDSL setting cos the firmware is EU so it has no entries for UK services. Not a hassle after about 3min if trial and error

I never had to do that on Plusnet ADSL, you do know there is an option to backup config settings?

Look at chapter 13 on PDF manual for info.
