TP650 doesn't boot (Antec psu)

A few weeks back me and my friend were looking at power supplies for his new rig and we were set on buying this psu in the title and this morning it has arrived upon installing it there were no problems with hooking it all up however after switching it on all that happened could only be described as a small jolt as the fans came on but for less then a second and then stopped the readings on the 24pin were good and there was no smell or burst capacitors and trying plugging his motherboard with a g7 680w (my known working one) resulted in a successful boot could it have been the way we connected his 8 pin near CPU or 24pin (g7 has 20pin+4)as im beggining to think the unit is DOA

Its either as you say DOA, or try doing a clearCMOS which can work wonders.

No point trying to fault find etc, its new, get it swapped for another.

Cleared the CMOS which made no difference so we are going to RMA it
