Having just spent £7 on a Steam Link, why are these so expensive?
You need huge bandwidth with near zero latency to transmit the display from the PC to the Rift at the full 90fps.

It's a much more difficult than what the Steam link does, and if there's too much latency or the frame-rate is inconsistent you get instant nausea.

That said, it is very expensive. I'm glad it's coming out but wish it were cheaper.

We know more bandwidth is involved. We also know that no new tech is involved. So why the huge difference in price?
