TPM on Windows

So I made a Rufus install awhile ago with TPM disabled, I've since enabled it after updating the BIOS.
Does Windows need to assign a TPM key etc during the initial install?

TLDR, even if it's now enabled in the BIOS, will it still not be in Windows - do I need to do a fresh install so that it is properly working?

No, you don’t need a fresh install.

Within windows, check by start run, tpm.msc.
