Hello everyone, looking to build a couple of parts that are flexible/grippy.

I've got a Bambu Labs A1, and I couldn't face paying the £35 for 1KG with them.

Just looking for black/white/grey, nothing fancy. They're functional parts.

Don't mind buying from abroad. I've got some Geetech PETG, but it's been a bit hit and miss.

Any suggestions?

Dammit

Yeah I'm building my own filament dryer, and although not completely finished, it is still able to get rolls moisture free!

I'm just a bit concerned that 95A between brands is variable in flexibility. Was hoping to not have to watch a myriad of youtube reviews.

What have you both printed with the filaments you mentioned?

Mainly just smallish (50g or less) RC car parts.

I use mine to protect RC car parts! Things like this - https://www.printables.com/model/380487-team-assocated-b64-tower-guards

The shock towers they're protecting are carbon fibre, which get chewed up on our outdoor track if you land on the roof - hopefully one day I'll be a good enough racer that I don't need to print them haha
Great minds ,

I’ve done roof skids and shock top protection on my Kraton Exb mainly to protect the shell and a few little bits for my sons MT10.

Post photos if you've got them, it would be really helpful!

I want to make some motorcycle parts so if they're getting beat up on RC cars I'm sure the filament will be fine!

I've used some Elegoo TPU 95A in my Centauri Carbon. Only printed some shock absorber feet for the Centauri and a shoulder/chin rest for a VR gun stock but they all came out really good

Nice! That looks awesome.

The use case I need it for would have similar ridgelines to what you've done on the butt stock.

What I've been wondering, is it, grippy?

I was wondering if I printed it with 'fuzzy edges' it would be good for small tyres for various bits and bobs.

Orientation probably helps a lot for helping it to be grippy. Where the ridges are feels grippy but the sides are very smooth. Pretty sure it would work for tyres for display purposes. Not so sure if they could be used as actual working tyres though.

Got you.

I'm after something that functions similar to the rubber of a kids bmx tyre, grippy but still firm.

Maybe TPU isn't actually what I need.
