I wasnt expecting much from this game TBH but im really enjoying it :) having to play with next gen off as I only get around 18fps in next gen mode :( still the graphics look great and im pleased to say im really impressed with the game.. Ive been switching to next gen every so often througout the game just to see the difference and found scenery and most of all the characters to be completely different models :eek: , its like two different games have been made,, Has anyone managed to keep playable fps with next gen on?? ive been told it needs a 512mb GPU,, Im tempted to get this for the 360 just to play it through with next gen on,,,think the low res of the 360 will spoil it a bit though....
 
I wouldn't bother with the 360 version as I gave it a go in my local Gamestation and didn't rate it and like you said low res.

Next gen looks nice but not worth it for the fps. I don't see the point in them making a next gen mode if no one's pc can handle it, they really need to optimize it first. :cool:
 
Maybe the point is that next gen hardware will be able to handle it?

I see your point but I would have already played it through several times by then.

Surely it's best to make a game that takes full advantage of todays graphics cards!
 
Ive played through most or the game and have had the next get content enabled all the way through :D

Frame rates have been between 30-70 and i think it dropped to about 20 once. But thats playable for me. :)

it has nothing to do with optimisation, if people are trying to run nextgen mode at a high res with aa etc. enabled with a 6600 or similar what do you expect it to run like?
 
well ive was playing through first level, bolivia or whatever with next gen, thinking its running pretty good. get to peru n fps is awful. n to be honest the graphics arent that amazing to warrant such low fps
