Tracing web service calls

A client has an .ASMX web service which is being called. Something is calling the web service but I'm not sure what and where from.

I'm thinking WireShark may help us any other ideas? I'm hoping to identify an IP address.

Have you tried the IIS logs? That should show the IPdress.

If you can remote access to the machine could you not, netstat -a and look for inbound connections?

I mainly use weblogic at work and we have this infomration in a log file within the domain I dont know much about MS web services

Thanks guys IIS logs and WireShark did the trick.
