Track day video apps for android?

Hi all,

I'll be going to a track day this weekend and wanted to record a few laps on my android phone. Are there any apps available that can be used to record laptimes and speed on top of video? I have had a quick look and can see track day apps that record data but don't have any way of recording video at the same time.

There are, but before you go down the route it's worth pointing out that any sort of timing equipment is always banned at track days. If you get caught with it at best you will have it confiscated, worst you will be asked to leave.

Also, suction mounts will almost certainly be banned so unless you have a fixed mount for the phone you won't be able to use it.

If you are ok with the risk of being thrown out, and have a mount, Trackmaster will record data over video.

I have my confirmation email from Donington and it only stipulates:

"NO HAND HELD VIDEO CAMERA’S IN VEHICLES"

I'll take my phone and my mount so hopefully I'll be able to use the above app while there!

Trackaddict (on iOS so probably on Android) although as said timing (and suction mounts) are banned at track days so be careful.
