Track IR

You might want to post this in the PC Games section, TrackIR won't work with consoles. :p

What flight simulations do you play arjgrundy? I'll be getting TrackIR 5 next month for DCS: A-10C and Arma 2/3. :)

I had a feeling i'd get told that after posting in this section. haha. oops!

I play FSX. Im looking to buy DCS :A10C as it looks amazing. I hadn't heard of Arma 2 until recently when i loaded up STEAM and saw it. That looks very similiar to BF3 but looks impressive! Could you let me know what you think of TrackIR 5 when you get it?

Sure, it'll be next month but I'll post back when I get it. Head over to the Arma 2 website and download Arma 2: Free to check it out. It's the main infantry/combat simulation game currently out, in the public domain. Incomparable to the likes of Battlefield. :)

PC Exclusive I must add.

TrackIR is absolutely AWESOME with all flying games- be it slow paced civilian sims like FSX or fast paced dogfighting WW1 and WW2 games like Rise of Flight (my favourite!) and IL2/IL2:Cliffs of Dover.

It makes one feel like sitting in a cockpit- you turn your real head a few degrees and your virtual head turns a few dozen degrees. Highly, highly recommended device! :)

I play a bit of FSX and this looks good. I was pretty shocked to discover it costs about £100! I'm not sure what I was expecting I guess, but maybe half that?

Anyone found it cheaper than that?

Yup i dont fly or race without my TrackIR on, racing i can live without it but i prefer to have it on with decreased sensitivity, first couple of days when i first got it i wasnt convinced but after a week it was second nature to move my head in sync with the planes roll/pitch, also is extremely handy in dogfights to keep your eye on the target plane with ease.

TrackIR is an essential for flightsims, I mainly play DCS A-10C, FSX and Take on helicopters and wouldn't ever play without it again.

ARMA2 also works really well with it, it's pretty cool being able to be prone and coped up but still be able to twist your head and scan the horizon.

Another +1 for including this amongst the flight sim essentials. I haven't played FSX (not really my bag), but it was brilliant in all the DCS products and Arma2, and driving sims/games too.

Does anyone know where you can buy these in the UK

They cost $2.00 from the Naturalpoint website site but the postage is $45 :D

I could give send them a email asking for cheaper postage as they prob just have one set price on there website.

But if I can get them in the UK even better.
Thanks
