Not sure if this is the right forum for this but here goes.

I'm staying with my Aunt, Uncle and a couple of cousins at the moment, and have been for a couple of weeks.
They've told me today that the internet usage allowance for the month is coming close to the maximum.

Is there a piece of software I can download to track the internet data usage my laptop is using?

Just want to cover myself to prove that I'm not using more than my fair share.

If you already use an antivirus with a built in firewall, it will most likely be able to tell you how much you have used. Kaspersky I know keeps these statistics.

Alternatively, why not ask them how they know its coming close to the maximum? Perhaps your ISP has a portal which can give you this information, if so it would be a lot more accurate than software running on just 1 computer for keeping the total usage under control!

Most decent ISP's will tell you how close you are to your limit, who are they with?

I think the OP is after the amount of bandwidth his particular laptop is using, so that he can prove that he's not the culprit.

I've been using DUMeter for several years, not free but I preferred this to netmeter.
