Tracking Ip addresses....

If it were that easy to properly ban people from forums, why does OcUK have problems with people who have been banned registering new accounts?

New ISP's etc etc.

And, by MAC address, I meant the router, not my PC.

Which router? Because on average theres will be able 10 to 15 routers in-between you and the forums in question, and the forums won’t be able to pick up the mac address of any of them except for maybe one or two of the ones closes to them.

Oh right, not sure how else he would have PermaBanned me then, unless he blacklisted 172.xxx.xxx.xxx which I'm sure would wipe out plenty of possible members, which is what the ego-tastic chums wanted, there was over 1000, with like 20 active, lol.

My guess would be that either you didn’t clear your cookies, or they identified you from some of the details of when you were signing up again, like your email address or date of birth.

Its also interesting to note whilst we are on the subject of MAC addresses, that its not actually that hard to change your MAC address, although obviously you are not supposed to.

I didn't actually get banned, I left when I noticed how gay they were. I also still no the user and password of one of the members, rofl.
