I decided to buy a cloth mouse mat thinking it would fix some of the tacking issues i have been having with my harder surface. And well after a few games im still having some issues with tracking. I play COD 5 WaW and turning left to right can sometimes get stuck and stutter and frankly im extremely annoyed if this is what you get with a 40 pound mouse. On a old cloth mouse surface with a razer diamond back i didnt suffer these issues. So maybe its down to how my mouse is set up. I like to play on 800 DPI as i dont like an extremely responsive mouse and i have got (Tracking Control Unit turned on) I am not sure if that is best to be turned off. My polling rate is set to 1000 but i have tried it on 125 and it seems to make it harder to move. Mouse acceleration is off and is advanced sensitivity options. I love this mouse and would love to have it track properly. I am using 5g weight i havw tried them all with same issue. I am using the windows 7 beta drivers. Maybe its these drivers that are causing the issues? Anyone got any tips on setting this bad boy up?

If the mouse is working and but just stutters, i'd point that to a driver problem myself.

Does it do this on your desktop too, and other games?

It's called negative-accel, using a cloth math you will pick up fibre's from the mat inside the lens of your mouse, get a cotton bud and clean the inside should improve things.

I even use alcohol on the cotton bud to clean my Razer sometimes, but it's not essential.

Also your using the pretty much the right settings, Do not people tell you higher DPI and HZ are better they just don't no any better.

Ok just to clarify im using the roccat i will give cleaning the lens a go. Im just struggle to find the sensitivity balance right now for me takes time. Im use to high fps in games aswell with a 4870x2 at moment im using a 9600gt so dips in fps is proberly not helping. I do not have mouse acceleration turned on in the mouse drivers, i have heard its always on in windows 7 will disabling mouse acceleration improve things? windows desktop is fine its just games im struggle with the mouse at the min. i think stutter was the wrong word to use. getting stuck sometimes when going left or right very annoying in a battle on cod 5 because when it happens your dead meat.

Dont know though it would improve my peformance, i do like this mouse and i proberly just need to give it time, i have not used it properly in games yet.

Hi. I have got my roccat V2 (RMA) before three months as a replacement for V1 which had a broken wheel. I have to say that V2 works perfectly. I have all settings on TCU and hardware acceleration etc. I use a cheap very hard surface. I would like to inform you that there are some new beta drivers from roccat. Try that first. If that does not work try another cheap hard surface with only one colour black or blue. If that also does not work then RMA your mouse because it probably is a hardware problem. Roccat offers two years warranty for V2 Kone. I am not sure what warranty offers for V1. I am here if you want to ask anything else.

Like i said choppy movement is down to how smooth my fps are. had my 9500gt oced and it ran a lot smoother but was artifacting. Once i get my 4870x2 back its going to be butter smooth.
