TrackIR 5 - First year failure rates?

I am looking to import a TrackIR 5 from the U.S owing to much cheaper cost than from the U.K directly.

HOWEVER, should anything go wrong within the first year, arranging service across the pond would be a nightmare.

So, my question is, do these go wrong often within the first year?

I am prepared to take the risk if failure rate is within the first year is low.

I have never read or known one to go wrong ever.

There was a faulty batch that were recalled but they're known serial numbers and I seriously doubt that NP will ship one out now, you have factored in import fees and tax right?

You will love the thing in every aspect apart from losing the gunsight when you move around the pit

It is from a 3rd Party, not NP.

Works out £100.

I noticed about the recall on their forum earlier.

I have asked for clarification on the batch the retailer have have and asked them to check their serial numbers as per:

No more than £35 I would have thought?

Sounds about right to me, though in my experience you'll also get whacked for a handling charge from the courier and they'll apply fees and tax to everything incuding the shipping charge.
