So the test for the console release has started, you can sign up here
If you dont know trackmania its a free to play racing game, you race on a few different surfaces, Road, dirt, plastic, grass and ice, there are different skills needed depending on the surface you race on, some players love ice while others hate it for example.
You can experience most of the game on free to play, you dont have the ability to chat on freeplay, download replays or play in the daily cup of the days but you can still play ranked matches, all the campaigns etc.
Campaigns are released every quarter, 25 tracks with 5 levels of difficulty. Each track you can win a maximum of 4 medals, Bronze, Silver, Gold and Author medals. Author medals are the time set by the creator of the track.
I suspect the full release will be 1st of april for the new campaign, at the moment the trial allows you to play only with other console players but once it goes live it will be all platforms racing together.
I had a brief play of the trial and it holds up looking the same as the pc version, albeit without the option to have some plugins which can help you.
Hopefully i can see some of you on the track sometime!
