Trackpads and Security Certificates

Good morning chaps

Two quick questions for you:

Is it possible to disable the trackpad 'click' on an Advent netbook, a friend has one and he keeps opening things randomly by pressing the trackpad slightly too hard? I have disabled it on my old Dell using Puppy Linux, wondered if it is possible with XP.

Secondly, he also has endless Security Certificate warnings on Googlemail, how do I stop this?
