Just wondering if anyone is using Excel 2007 on a Trade Floor my place just done a rollout & sadly the testing team done was a bit of a joke & its causing no end of issues with Reuters & Bloomberg. Performance in general for Excel 2007 is a lot slower

Also be interested in hearing what Spec PC's people are using, we mainly use Dell T5400 with X5450 & 4gb. XP sp3 with Office 2007 Sp2.

Our number monkeys are running Dell E5400s with a P8700 processor, 4GB of RAM, the rest is stock as far as I know.

Running XP SP3 with Office 2007 (whatever the latest SP is).

They say it's a tad slower running large macros (Than 2003) but the main hurdle is the change in interface, which has yet to yield increases in productivity.

E5400 as in the laptops, they running 3000xtra of those?

We also have 4gig standard now the price difference is so small & its needed the amount of apps they have open. Would be good with 64bit desktop becomes the norm.
