Trade in iPhone 3G for 3GS?

Don't know if it's possible but do Apple allow you to trade in your 3G in order to upgrade to a 3GS for an upgrade fee? :confused:

I am interested in getting the 3GS however that's only if I am able to upgrade from my 3G :p
 
You can trade in your iPhone 3G at Carphone Warehouse, Feek has the prices they offer below.

The fee to upgrade will be pretty hefty if you've got a while left on your contract.

I think I saw that O2 will give you £170 for an 8Gb 3G and £180 for a 16Gb 3G but I can't remember where I saw that. It's a rubbish price.
 
I still don't understand how the majority of people haven't realised.
Sell 3G on an auction site or forums.
Go buy 3GS on PAYG and just stick the sim in.

SO many people think you have to buy your contract out then sell the phone and get a new contract, madness.

(Not directed at the OP but you can try selling your phone and just buying 3GS on PAYG and use like I said)

This.

Going to the Apple store this weekend to get my 3G repaired (dust under screen) gonna blag for a new/refurbished one, hopefully get top whack for mine at auction
 
Also looking to do this. How would I go about setting up my iPhone to sell on. How would I do a proper wipe of the phone?

Make a backup of your phone, contacts etc then restore then on the iPhone ->

Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Contents and Settings


That way you have everything backed up and a clean phone!

What would you say is a realistic price to get for a second hand 3G then?
 
You should get £250 on eBay for an 8Gb and anything between £300 and £350 for a 16Gb assuming good condition, boxed and with all the bits.
