trade in ps3

should i trade my ps3 in at **** for £300 store credit and get an elite?

not really impressed by ps3's frame rate problems.

am i being impulsive or will things get better? i get the feeling nothings going to change for the rest of the year if at all.

If you're willing to take the hit, yes. Of course, with the PS3 dropping in price soon, to get the £300 now could be a really good deal.

I'd say go for it and get a PS3 later cause some of the future games will be awesome, but for now til just after Xmas I'd say, of the 2, the Xbox360 is the one to have.

i got R6V the other day for my ps3. ive played it on the 360 too, and the difference is noticeable. we are talking sub 25fps in random places in the game, a bit like FEAR on the pc.

Then definitely do it. There is no point being there with a console you aren't happy with when you could get another console and some top notch games for doing nothing other than a trade.

Yeah, they print you a reciept which entitles you to 'x' amount and a barcode on it (which they scan to use as cash).

Unfortunately I lost one of mine for £10 when my wallet was nicked, so once you have it put it safe in a drawer at home

The PS3 might not be £300 trade in on the 24th. If you want to take the risk then do it then (so you have something to play on) otherwise I'd do it now.

360's have 3 year warranty now too.

i miss my 360 so much, i dont like my ps3 that much, really boring games and stuff, but im still sticking by it for a while i think, since i havent had it that long and only recently got rid of my 360.

it is quiet, which is nice

the psn store is cool too

but the key thing for me is the poor game performace. im not convinced anything will change, unless its a sony only title where a comparison isnt possible!

The only real reason to keep a ps3 at the moment is if your enjoying blu-ray. I thought i could hobble along with a ps3 only after my 360 went kaput, but im literally climbing the walls with only Ninja Gaiden and The Bigs as enjoyable games to play.

When I look at the list of whats coming out in the few months it dosent fill me with confidence, which is why ill be getting a 360 for my birthday next week. I wont sell my ps3 though, I know when Pro Evo 7 comes out for it, it will be the most used of consoles, especially if the rumours are true that it will get the best version.

i'm not enjoying blu-ray because it is prohibitively expensive. I only have a samsung 32inch and while there is a difference when compared to dvd, its just not worth the cost.

hmv are selling dvds for £3. dvd is a real bargin at the moment.
