I'm in the process of buying a house and I would like to recoup some money and buy the usual things for the house, anyway I'm selling the PS3. Are there any places that accept trade ins of the console that sell electric equipment? TV's etc...?

Obviously the usual game stores don't sell these kind of items. £300 would be great for the console but it only seems I'll get that if I trade in and get instore vouchers which I don't need.

Cheers

hmm, at the cost of being labeled a competitor I would say *********** is the only place, iirc, the shop that is the first four digits of this place only gives instore vouchers, whilst *********** allows trade-ins for cash, afaik, *********** is the only place that does trade-ins for cash.

You can get £270 cash from a high street place, if that interests you.

Can't help mate but good luck with the new place. I guess you won the deposit from that maxim mag competition I told you about ;)

I remember selling my ZXR400 to buy stuff for my first house, that had more games for it than the PS3 though ;)

Shame it has to go, wouldnt the bay be a good option for cash?

Haha, cheers mate :p

Sick of ebay, it's always a last resort for selling things!

Might have to settle for £270 I guess :(

i use a certain exchange shop which seem to give OK exchange prices, took in a few DS/PSP games and got about 200 exchange or 140 cash i think it was, they do everything dvds, tvs, phones, mp3 players, consoles, cameras, laptops, pc hardware pretty much everything really

obviously cant say though but its only an exchange shop, and there are quite a few of them around the country

sounds like same one I am thinking of, but I know it is against the rules to e-mail competitors so I haven't e-mailed you.

Could you sell the vouchers on?

I thought this but I'd have to find someone who was going to spend that much in the relevant store, none of my friends will anytime soon and people might think twice about buying vouchers online. Suppose it could be an option.
