Trader selling private plate

Hi guys

I have a car with a private plate its a 4 letter 1 number plate so I'm sure its worth £100-200 (someone paid £900 for it in 2010)

I purchased the car from auction and filled the trade part in on the log book and kept the rest (I have traders insurance)

How do I go about taking the plate off the car and putting the original plate back - some of the old tax discs show the original plate..

I have all the paperwork from DVLA from when it was last changed

I understand its a fairly simple procedure if the logbook was in my name as it normally would be, but this is in traders, I will be selling soon..

the plate goes with the V5, its about £130 to stick the plate on a certificate I think.
DVLA will sort you out with new v5 and tax discs with the correct reg on too as part of it AFAIK
