Do these games still exist?

I remember I used to play game where you owned a space ship, and would trade between planets, hire staff, etc.

Do these games still exist? It doesn't have to involve space ships.

It would be pretty cool if there was a 'business' game in the same mould as text based games like Football Manager.

Eve online ticks all those boxes. Has the added depth and reality that everyone you hire, fire, trade with, etc. is a real person.

Theyre about setting up a trade empire in ye olde times.

Great single player trade'um up. Multi, then eve in theory, but beware it's high in the meta game. You'll be battling screwed economics backed by scamms, built for purpose trading alts, and the worst of all, the bot plague
