Trading up issue.

It's a bit too late now but I'm not sure if I've been ripped off. I traded in a couple of lenses in what I believed to be excellent condition. I got a quote and was fairly y happy with it. On sending the goods I received a reduced quote on one of the items at which I am at a loss to explain. The item I am querying has only been used once and was brought from Wex in excellent condition with 12 months warranty. However, the place I traded the lens has reported back they have reduced my quote due to marks on the mount. I can't explain this as it was sent out to trade in perfect condition. I wondered if anybody else has had this issue? I think in future, I'll have to video, time and date stamp an item prior to sending in the future.

This is how it works im afraid. The original quote draws you into the transaction, they reduce it on receipt of goods and because your not gonna be bothered to pay to get them sent back , you just accept.

Not been ripped off, its just how the game works.

Unfortunately no. I ended up receiving a 105mm f2. 8 macro. I'll learn to be more cautious in future.
