best places to buy them?

Had a look at putting metal plate under fuel tank - not gonna happen as would be too difficult and potentially dangerous.

The next alternative is traffic calmers in my drivespace to stop them getting from under it by parking over the traffic calmers.

They are all around £300+ though but they would look more useful than the alternative of bolting a big yellow pallet to my parking space and parking my car over it.

Oh to strop tank drilling, try putting a LPG sticker on it and see if they still try it :)

Buy some cement and make a bubble on your drive way park over that?

Just let your tyres right down, then no-one can get under your car. Don't worry - they'll only be flat at the bottom :D

Seems to be a lot of hassle - is it common where you live?

chop whatever it is you drive just now in for a race spec drift wagon with an internal fuel cell?

Happens once every year or 2 a few cars get done over. 1 in each close and the surrounding areas one night.

Considering doing that - then just paint it yellow and red so i don't get sued because some doofus didn't see it. Where would i stand if i did do this and someone fell over? As technically unless i get approval from the council to do this i'm responsible for it and it mght be classed as illegal modification (like these people who don't get planning permission and the council rip it down)?

Aside from the loss of fuel, how expensive is the fix/replacement, and how does this compare to the cost of the deterent proposed/CCTV?

Fix - £250+ time lost at work + insurance if i have to go through them. So
budget on £500.

Traffic calmers/Speed humps(:p) around £300-400.
Garage - 2nd hand £1000 - new - £3000+.
Concrete - £30.

Obviously concrete is looking favourite. Might never happen again but it might happen next week.... i can't afford £250+ a time when i only have £300 a month to live on(single man + own house!).

At least a garage will add value to your house, a concrete blob will look crap and will put people off when they know what it is for.
