Since when did people think that traffic entering the motorway have right of way over traffic already on it?
Last week I had two incidents when passing junctions. One was a car trying to join the motorway who sounded their horn at me when I failed to move over to let him join (there were no other cars joining and if he had accelerated or decelerated he could have joined in front or behind me), the other one was where a car in lane 1 suddenly moved to lane 2 to let a car join and nearly ended up with my S2000 embedded in his tailgate as I was overtaking him in lane 2 at the time.
These events got me watching traffic join at further junctions and it seemed to me that a lot of people seem to think that they have right of way when joining the motorway.
Anyone else noticed this recently?
