Right, I played it about a year ago. It can't be more than 2/3 years old I'd guess. It's not Train Simulator and it's not Trainz. You had to control trains but not like the previous two games, it's more like choosing the correct route for them to get to their destination without colliding with other trains.

I've tried Googling and looking at IGN etc but haven't found it :(

Anyone got an ideas?

Railroad Tycoon 1/2/3
Sid Meier's Railroads
Locomotion
Transport Giant
Thomas & Friends: Building The New Line (found it on amazon :D )

Can’t think of anymore, sorry!!

Hmm, thanks for the list but it's none of them either. You don't really have to decide where to put stations etc like Railroad Tycoon, you start on a predefined track and map and then you have to place the trains on, choose the route to get to their destination (and sometimes at different stops along the way) and make other trains on the map do the same without colliding. Basically in the most efficient way possible.

I would suggest popping into a game shop whose name I won't mention ;). Train games are really connoisseur stuff but get them to check their huge (virtual) database. Any title released should be on there.

It's not the Hornby one or Trainz Virtual Railway, is it?
