Trainer shoes

Where else can I get trainer shoes other than Sketchers?

I refuse to pay another £60 for a pair of Sketchers just for them to start falling apart after 3 months of normal use

I've seen some in Next for £45 but they a bit iffy, not as good looking as Sketchers but seeing as though Sketchers seem to be made of paper and the Next items are the only other option I thought i'd ask you chaps and chapess's in case I havent thought of somewhere

Dont really want to spend more £50 seeing as though I only bought the Sketchers 3 month ago

No, not everywhere sells them trust me i've looked, unless like I say, i've just missed somewhere but places like JD, JJB etc dont sell them

Trainers shoes, not trainers! A cross between shoes and trainers like you can go on a night out in them or wear them work etc etc etc

That would fully depend on where you go but some of the places I visit on a night out yes, Sketchers are more than perfectly fine :confused:

The next ones are £45 so all else fails i'll just get them monies a bit tight due to short notice holiday

Schuh just sell Sketchers, I havent been in USC for a long time didnt realise they did shoes etc i'll have a look at that and I assumed Debenhams was just just Clarks etc so i'll check that out along with John Lewis but dont have either of the other two in my area, cheers

It's irritatingly difficult to find 'trainer shoes'. I'd have the Adidas Chile 62's that Lopez mentioned, but I don't like the way that the logo shouts ADIDAS!!! There's a pair of Porsche Design (lol) that are nice too, but there's just too many details on them that stand out, maybe to justify the price?

All I want is something as understated and informal as the stuff you find in Next etc, but with a bit more quality / comfort...

Apparently understated just isn't fashionable... *sigh*

Sounds we have/had similar requirements combined with an indesicive mind!

There is no alternative to the birthday suit!

The trick with trainer shoes is that they are comfy and are decent enough for a casual night out with jeans but you wouldnt wear them for a formal "doo" and depending on your job you can get away with wearing them with work pants and a shirt

I'm going to stop wearing them for work though, going to go back to £20 Asda shoes, I know that sounds cheap but I walk a mile a day and the last pair lasted 6 months which is 2 months longer than my £60 Sketchers!

Thanks for this, I just bought two pairs of Duck & Cover pumps for a total of £28, I think i'll just take these on holiday and treat them as disposable and get some decent trainer shoes when I get home, think i'll get some Caterpillers this time from Amazon too, they seem well priced
