Hi all, basically I am looking for a pair of trainers. A bit of back story first...

Had a pair of Reebok's a number of years ago and mainly played squash, a bit of gym/running. I ended up with shin splints, tried to battle through it only to end up not being able to do any of the able for 6 - 8 months. Broke myself in gently and the same happened again after a few weeks so I gave it all up and started cycling. I haven't played squash or gone to a gym or ran in nearly 3 and a half years :(

Now I want to get back into it again, the Dr was pretty useless at the time and put it down to me doing to much high impact stuff, the other option was my trainers not being a good pair etc. So I am needing something good and comfy, maybe with hi-impact cushioning (if that exists?)

What do you reckon.

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply, I should have stayed where I live... Remote island off the north west of Scotland. My one and only sports shop is still in the dark ages. Closest place I might be able to get that done is a 3 hour ferry trip and the an 90 minute drive, but to far for a pair of trainers haha

Thanks for the help guys! Did the foot print test and have a normal-ish arch. I was actually recomened Asics by a friends as she uses them and has done for a while, so found ASICS GEL-PHOENIX 7 RUNNING SHOES which look good at around £50ish will check out the ones you mentioned too.

Thanks guys!
