O.k. ive installed Transcode 360 as a service and set up the 360 to view all the files, When i click to transcode a Divx/Xvid movie clip i get the error message "object reference not set to an instance of an object" on the 360, Have tried to search for this but not found a fix, Anyone know what i can do?

Thanks

right click the trascode 360 icon and click compatiblity and then tick run as admin and that should work

i had same issue with rranscode 360 vista and that fixed it for me

I don't have a transcode 360 Icon as it is only used as a service and not got a tray icon, Is there any other way of doing this?

O.k i tried doing that on the Tanscode360.exe file but with no luck, still get the same error messages.

Any more idea's?

i had this too, i just ran it in the background i think theres an option somewhere but when i clicked they tray icon it did the same.

Yep running Transcode 360 on my media Pc running Vista Premium Edition, Only running it as a service so no tray icon, MEdia center see's it when you go to choose transcode but comes up with the error message as soon as you click on the transcode button in media player.

I have it installed but there are issues. It is randomly freezing the media extender session on the 360, and the whole video isnt transcoding smoothly.

On XP it would just continue to transcode till the whole file is done. On this it might do the first 10 minutes, freeze, do the next 10, freeze, do the next 5, etc...

Man, I can't think what else to try, I need this, The only option i have is to boot back into Windows Media center edition and keep it streaming from there untill i can find a fix.

If anyone finds a way to crack it please let me know, thanks

Right o.k. it seems that transcode 360 is now working, I have re-installed it and open the transcode 360 console when trying to run it through media center, In the console it says it is starting and encoding but actually in media center it says it cannot play the file, Would this be a codec problem, I have installed a Vista codec pack and a Kazaa codec pack?

It all plays in media player no probs though.

If you are testing it on your pc and not the 360 for some reason in vista it cant transcode on the actual pc itself. that is how i always tested it on XP MCE but for some reason that cant be done on vista. Make sure you are testing it on the 360

install Transcode 360
goto C:\Program Files\Transcode 360 (or wherever) and grant the WHOLE folder access to the username "mcx1"
then reboot :)
