Freddy McConnell, a 34-year-old freelance journalist who works for the Guardian began medical transition with testosterone therapy in 2013, and in 2014 underwent a double mastectomy. His passport and NHS records were changed to show he was male, but he retained his female reproductive system. He gave birth after suspending his hormone treatment and allowing his menstrual cycle to restart.

In the appeal court, Lord Burnett came down in favour of the right of a child born to a transgender parent to know the biological reality of its birth, rather than the parent’s right to be recognised on the birth certificate in their legal gender. (LINK)

Thank God that someone thinks of the motherless child who is an innocent, unwitting participant in this LGBTQ+ rights campaign.

That video of Jo Swinson trying very hard (not) to identify what exactly a woman is is utterly cringeworthy. Whilst I am sure that Jo Swinson is a genuine, sincere person the whole thing is a perfect example of why Politicians are held in such low regard and in her case why she is no longer the leader of the Liberal Democrats.

As to the definition of what constitutes "Gender" and "Sex", I always used to think of the former in terms of grammar (i.e. masculine, Feminine and Neuter) and I tended to think of the latter in terms of Male and Female - sadly I am now totally confused.

I am still relatively happy to accept the definition of "Sex" as:
Either of the two major forms of individuals that occur in many species and that are distinguished respectively as female or male especially on the basis of their reproductive organs and structures.

. . . I am definitely in support of people doing what they choose with their own bodies.

Yeh, no issues at all with parents shooting brown up their arms or white in their lungs - it's their body, let them do what they want.

Situations such as this are extremely complex for blanket statements, however the denial appears real.
The issue here should not be related primarily to the Parent and what he/she chooses to do with her/his body. Surely this is a case where the interests of the child are paramount?

The child cannot be cannon fodder in an idealogical identity war.
