Transfer cable for 360 help.

Hey guys, my elite is going back as it keeps crashing and work are letting me do a HDD>HDD transfer, what I want to know is can you transfer from one elite HDD to other like you can with the 20gb>120gb HDD. Cheers.

So far as I am aware, yes you can do 120GB > 120GB.

Stupid question possibly. Surely if you have both 120GB drives, you can just swap them?

All my saves/conent are on the old one and I would have prefered to use the newer dive, guess I will need a memory card then?

Yes, but there may be some content you just can't copy.

Any particular reason you have to have the newer drive, it'll be identical to the older one I'd have thought.

You can do 120gb -> 120gb but the transfer DVD you have might not be the right software version that supports it, the initial release would only do 20gb -> 120gb.

I would go with orderoftheflame on this thinking about it. Just keep the drive you have. If you are worried about the older drive failing, I wouldn't be. It's just as likely you would change to the new drive, and it would fail!
