Right.....

My daughter shares an iTunes account with her mum and her sister.
She's getting older now, and has received some very snazzy new headphones and some iTunes vouchers for Christmas.
As you'd expect, she's now far too cool and hard to have her sister and her mums music in her library, so she's asked me to set her an account up.

She appreciates that she'll lose what she had and will have to start from scratch, and that's fine.

What she does have on the shared account is £30 in credit.

Now, apparently you can 'gift' credit from one account to another, so that should be the way forward.

Here's the problem. I need to be 100% SURE, that if I gift £30 from the shared account to the new account, it will DEFINITELY come out of the credit and will not be charged to the card linked to the account.

Can anyone confirm this is 100% the case. I know that's how it should and probably does work, but I need to be sure before I do it.

Cheers all and Merry Christmas :D

You can remove any payment details from your account, So you can then try and gift it and see if it works?

Good name ;)

I've been researching all over the shop and it appears that 'credit' cant be used to buy vouchers. Makes sense, money laundering and all that.

Next option being, if I use the credit to 'gift' albums and films to the new account, again will it come out of the credit or from the card attached.

Sadly, I can't remove the payment details. It's not my account and although I have the password and permission to move the credit, knobbing about with the card details would be overstepping my bounds somewhat!
