Is there a way to do this? Was using cuteftp pro with openssh to transfer new sounds, etc to the jailbroken iphone but its stopped working! Is there a program that uses the USB cable or a different method?

There is an app called Dropcopy, although I couldn't get it to work on the last release, haven't tried the latest one yet though.

There is a program called Total Commander that you can use to transfer by USB. Download the T-IPOT plugin which works for iPhone and ipod touch and then you can trasnfer files without ssh. Its also ten times faster, i use it to transfer PSX games for the emulator which took 10mins using it compared to and hour with OpenSSH :D

Heres a tutorial if your interested:

I've used Fugu and Panic Transmit.

Enter the IP Address of the iPhone as the host, with the User root

The password is alpine (or dottie)

I find dropcopy & transmit really easy. Just open dropcopy on the iPhone, then in transmit I do what EVH says. Then you can browse around and drag and drop stuff on at you leisure.
