Transfer from XP to Vista

I have a laptop with XP which has all of my internet settings, ie home page favourites etc.

What is the best way to transfer these settings to my new laptop with Vista on it,

ie wireless or with usb.

I know you can i just aint done it before.

Probably easier just to dump it to a USB storage device if you have one, it will be quicker than setting up a share.

If you have many GBs worth of transfer to do, then USB will be much faster than wireless if you have enough capacity.

just export/backup your favourites and email them to yourself.
shouldnt take more than a minute

Use the vista's inbuilt easy transfer tool. I have used this several times and it does what it says on the tin!

for more advanced transfers give the USMT a go
