Transfer iTunes to new PC

Can anyone help with this. I need to transfer an itunes library from an old PC to a new one. I only have the hard drive from the old PC so I can't use any export or backup software (I don't think)

I assume if I login to iTunes on the new machine it will sync purchased tracks ? What happens when I plug my iphone in ? How should I copy all the other albums / videos across.

The hdd will be slaved in the new PC to allow for the copying.

I would just connect the old hard drive and copy everything over to your itunes music folder on the new hard drive. Then import the contents of that folder in itunes to get everything into you main library screen.

You would have to authorise your new computer to play the purchased stuff, and ideally you deauthorise an old machine first (although I always forget!).
