transfer question and hd addon?

hi

im getting an elite soon but i need to know if there is a certain way i have to do the transfer from my premiums harddrive

basically will i have to use the hd addon's install cd again once ive connected it to the elite or does that all transfer when doing the transfer from hardrives?

i think ive made that a bit confusing lets try again:

ive got a premium with hd addon , soon i will be getting an elite

once ive done the transfer of hardrives using the ms cable will i need to install my hd addon again???

or would it have all gone through on the hardrive transfer?

I'd tell you, but i still haven't got my cable. It's only been a month.

Has anyone here actually had their cable? Apart from the guy who wanted to sell it for a fiver. I wish i'd bought it off him

Slightly off topic, appologies to OP but..

Anyone have any idea when/if M$ will be releasing a black version of the HD-DVD Drive addon?

Never. Everything that's coming out in black is already out. Of course this may change in time. You know how it is.

I'm going to vinyl dye mine black, as soon as i can drag myself to Halfords to get the spray.
