Transfer software to a differnt drive

I want to transfer some gaming software from C drive to G drive and still use the shortcut on the Desktop (C Drive). How do i make the shortcut open the software on G Drive
Transferring the software is not the problem ( I can copy and paste) It's the shortcut that is the problem

i think you'll find it will be a problem. it's not that straightforward. installers also update the windows registry and files could be all over the file system. if you move files, you cannot expect it to work as before. you may find some things will work but don't think because of that, everything else will.

Have you tried changing the target for the shortcut on the desktop?
