Transfer Vista Email to Windows 8?

Hi,

System failure has prompted an earlier upgrade than anticipated. My only trouble is how to get my emails imported into something on Windows 8.

Reading up is prompting me to delete directories, copy and paste dll's etc so not too keen on that (unless it's my only option).

Is there any easy way I can import my email messages (exported to 'Windows Mail' format from Windows Live Mail, on Vista).

There is a chance I could export them into another format if that helps but I think the only other option is 'Outlook' format.

Are your emails not online?

What I mean to say is, could you not just log into the same account on Windows 8 and have all your mail sync?

If not, I'm thinking you need the equivalent Windows Live Mail for Windows 8 http://windows.microsoft.com/is-is/windows-live/essentials-other#essentials=overviewother

Ahh I didn't know they had an option to use the old client I assumed they were force feeding the use of 'Windows Mail' which doesn't support pop3.

That looks like it should do the business!

As above just install Live Mail on your new computer.
