Transfering data across to a NAS

Hi all,

I use an NAS to backup My Documents every now and then, usually I can just browse to the NAS on my PC and copy the data over (via homeplugs), there's about 100gb. The problem is now whenever I transfer large data my PC loses connection to the network, it does the same when I try doing the same from my Laptop to the NAS.

When it interrupts it loses all the data I've moved so is there any programs out there I can resume if network connection is lost?

I've always done it this way so not sure why it's doing this, I normally get back on the network by disabling/enabling my network adaptor.

Robocopy?

Some kind of FTP software would likely do the job.

Ditch the homeplugs, just drill holes

Assuming it's not a laptop you could change the location of my documents to the NAS. This means you won't need to keep scheduling a backup, however I wouldn't do it until you've ditched the homeplugs.

If the transfer is purely internal to your NAS, have you tried enabling Jumbo Frames?
