transfering o/s

i am adding to my computer so i will have format the HDs is there anyway i can like back-up my o/s as i can't find my disk for it, still have the code like. or is there anywhere i can download it of microsoft and use my code?

You need to use something like Acronis TrueImage or Norton Ghost to clone the drive.

Yes it will clone the drive exactly.

Dont worry about it cloning drivers. Windows will moan about having the wrong drivers, but it wont take you long to uninstall the now incorrect ones and wack on the new ones.

ah right cheers guys, so i could just clone disk, plug it into all new hardware and it will unistall old drivers, and i install the new others in their place. and i will have my o/s and all my music, videos etc still on the drive?
