Transfering old to new??

In preperation for the build i was wondering how i can transfer all my stuff on my laptop to the new pc?

What is it you are transferring?

If its just data and films/music etc, can you burn to a DVD or two?

easiest/quickest would be remove hdd from lappy attach to power and sata cables in pc .drag and drop the required files onto the new hdd in the pc :-)

Ya just music nd photo and the likes of it.
For the programs do i just download them again or can they be transfered aswell??

How do you transfer email in outlook

Programs have to be reinstalled and you need to copy the .PST file which holds most of your Outlook data.

Remove hard drive, transfer data, reinstall programs.

I had a ****ing nightmare shifting nearly a terabyte of stuff from my laptop to my rig. Only when you move machines do you realise how much **** you have on there
