can i transfer my ssd with windows 7 on to another pc i am building (new mobo etc.).

the current pc will then be semi- 'retired', running on my vista 32 os, as i realise that you cannot have two copies of an os running at the same time in two different pc's.

can this be done?

If you mean swapping the SSD and using the version of Windows that's on there at the moment - yes, it can be done however it's not always smooth sailing. Best advice would be to reinstall.

Firstly the mobo and hardware will need different drivers that most likely won't be installed. Then you've got the ballache that could be activation.

yeah, i think i'll put that idea on ice.
i've got plenty of issues with the os installation as it is :(

cheers!
