Transferring Apps

Hi Guys,

Just looking for some help. I bought an Ipod Touch 3G off my friend and was wondering if it would be possible to transfer the Apps he has bought to my computer/itunes account so I can take them off or put them on when I wish?

for this, he will need to log in to itunes using his account on your computer (the account he purchesed the apps with)

You can't transfer the applications to your account, they are linked to your friends account, the one they were bought on rather than the device.

Found out that I can log into his account on my PC, then re-download them free of charge, hopefully this way they are saved within my itunes library.

Just had to do that authorise computer thing.

Yes, they'll be DRMd to his account though so you still won't be able to sync them from your account. At least, that's how I understand it works.

Even though im putting them onto the same Ipod?
