I got a new case today (Lian-Li PC-7) and i was wondering if, before i take out the PSU and everything from my old case do i have to leave it turned off so built up charge or something in the PSU and other parts go away, or is it safe to just unscrew everything and take it out straightaway?

I did this the other day. I turnd it all off and started dismantling things within 10 minutes. Was compeltely fine, althoguh im not too sure if it was the safest way to do it :p

Turn it off, unplug.

Walk away for 5 minutes to let the HSF and graphics heatsinks cool down a bit, then do it.

I have a scar on my hand thanks to a Geforce 4 ti4800 and removing a Athlon XP and catching the graphics heatsink, hurt a lot!

Nothing else to worry about really, good choice of case aswell!

Yeh, not going to post a picture, but I had some serious clocks on that baby and it ran at about 110deg which is a lot higher than it should have. :)
